John Whitaker
John Whitaker is one of the worlds most successful International Show Jumpers and has partnered horses like Milton, Gammon and Ryan's Son, winning medals at the Olympic, European and World Championships.
John has also won the famous Hickstead Derby on 4 occasions, the first time in 1983 riding Ryan's Son, then in 1998 riding Gammon, in 2000 he rode Welham and then in 2004 he won it again riding Buddy Bunn.

- Ryan's Son
- Ryan's Son was the powerful bay horse who John competed on when he was 18 years old and on whom he won Team Silver at the Los Angeles Olympic Games and was also winner of the King George The V Gold Cup in 1986.
- Milton
- In 1985 John began riding Milton the stunning grey Dutch Warmblood who won over 1 million pounds in prize money,
- Grannusch
- In 1998 John won the World Cup final riding Grannusch who was amazingly 19 at the time.
- Gammon
- Gammon won the Hickstead Derby in 1998 and at 21 years old became the oldest horse ever to do so.
- Welham
- Welham won the Grand Prix at Hickstead in 1999 and the Hickstead Derby in 2000.
