Eccles Takes Individual Vaulting Gold
Joanne Eccles has successfully defended her title at the World Equestrian Games and remains reigning World Champion.

Joanne who was lunged again by her father John and the steadfast W H Bentley performed brilliantly over the four rounds to finish on a final score of 8,718 ahead of Anna Cavallaro (ITA) on her horse Harley and lunged by Vidoni who finished on a final score of 8,452.

The bronze medal going to Simone Jaiser of Switzerland who was lunged by Bliieske on the beautiful horse Luk on a final score of 8,433.

Joanne Eccles sister also did very well in the competition coming 9th in the individual with the sisters taking home a bronze medal in the Pas De Deux. Gold went to Austria's Jasmin Lindner and Lukas Wacha with silver going to Pia Engelberty and Torben Jacobs for Germany.
