Estimate Wins Gold Cup
This years anticipated Gold Cup at Royal Ascot has been won by the filly Estimate a horse who is owned by Queen Elizabeth II.

The Gold Cup is the highlight of the racing week at Royal Ascot and Estimate who is trained by Sir Michael Stoute and ridden by jockey Ryan Moore certainly had plenty to do with late challenges from both Top Trip and Simenon.

Estimate's win marks a historic date for the Queen who has become the first reigning monarch to win the Gold Cup in the long history of this prestigious race meeting. The Queen was notably thrilled that her horse had won the famous race as was her racing manager John Warren, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.

The beautiful dark bay filly is well bred for this race due to being a half sister to Enzeli who was owned by HH Aga Khan IV and who won the Gold Cup on 1999 with jockey Johnny Murtagh.
