Dujardin Takes Gold
There were some truly outstanding performances during the dressage freestyle to music, which has left Charlotte Dujardin a double Gold medalist after a superb performance riding the stunning Valegro.
Dujardin performed an impressive test which included patriotic chimes of London's Big Ben alongside music that included Land of Hope and Glory and he Great Escape which resulted in the pair achieving an epic score of 90.089%.
Adelinde Cornelissen claimed the silver after an equally impressive test on her beautiful horse Parzival who has been very consistent and expressive throughout the competition and finished on a score of 88.250%, Adelinde used music that included the Nutcracker Suite and Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
In bronze was Laura Bechtolsheimer and her 17 year old Mistral Hojris used music from The Lion King and finished on a score of 84.339%.
Carl Hester's horse Uthopia looked stunning and performed superbly with flamboyant extended trot and an incredible piaffe to finish on a very well deserved 82.187%.
