Britain Win Team Dressage Gold
Britain's dressage team which consisted of Carl Hester, Laura Bechtolsheimer and Charlotte Dujardin have all performed outstandingly to clinch the Gold ahead of Germany and the Netherlands to the great delight of the home crowd.

The first of the British team riders to go was Carl Hester who put in a superb performance and was the first of the day to break the 80% barrier after a superb and expressive test riding Uthopia. Laura Bechtolsheimer also performed well with Mistral Hojris which put Great Britain into a very strong team position and Charlotte Dujardin riding Valegro sealed the deal after a very confident and expertly ridden test which gained the highest score of the day of 83.2%. Britain's Richard Davison riding Artemis produced 70.524% to leave them in 26th position, which will unfortunately mean that he misses out on the freestyle on Thursday.

The German team which included Dorothee Schneider riding Diva Royal, Kristina Sprehe riding Desperados and Helen Langehanenberg riding Damon Hill also put in outstanding and solid performances to leave then just behind Britain as did the Netherlands whose team which included the talented Edward Gal riding the young Undercover, the experienced Anky van Grunsven riding Salinero and the formidable Adelinde Cornelissen riding Parzival claimed a very well deserved bronze.

Thursday's Grand Prix Freestyle is going to be an impressive display of elite dressage with riders from Great Britain, Germany and the Netherlands all fielding very strong contenders.
