Henry Cecil Knighted
The popular and successful horse racing trainer who is now 68, has received a knighthood from the Queen for his services to horse racing.
Cecil, who first obtained his racing licence in 1969 has trained an impressive amount of winners with no less than 25 Classics and has also been Champion Trainer on 10 occasions due to his horses winning the most amount of prize money in a season.
Notable jockeys who have ridden for him include Pat Eddery and Lester Piggott, with all eyes upon jockey Tom Queally who will be riding the ever impressive Frankel in the St James's Palace Stakes on the first day of Royal Ascot (14th to the 18th June).
