Removing Your Horses Rug
- Put on your horses head-collar and secure your horse.
- Undo the leg straps of the rug, taking them one at a time gently back through the horses legs and reattaching them to the D ring from which they came from.
- Undo each of the surcingle straps, placing them down to prevent them from bashing against the horses legs.
- Undo the two front buckles of the rug.
- Fold back the rug in half so that it sits across the horses hindquarters.
- Lift and slide the rug off the back of the horse.
- Hang up the rug to dry or store ready for next use.
Care Of Rug
If the rug has become dirty due weather conditions, or due to the horse rolling on the ground make sure to clean it so that it will last longer and serve as better protection for your horse until the time at which it needs replacing due to wear and tear.
