Badminton Countdown
 With just over five weeks to go until the start of the prestigious Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials and the entries now confirmed the countdown begins.

After last years abandonment due to adverse weather conditions that caused severe waterlogging of the event this years event is even more anticipated with an impressive list of entries that features several previous winners including Pippa Funnel who has Redesigned and Mirage D'Elle entered, Oliver Townend who rides ODT Sonas Rovatio and Armada, Paul Tapner has Kilronan entered and Mark Todd has three to choose from including Major Milestone, NZB Campino and Ravenstar.

Also on the entry list is Andrew Nicholson who impressively won Pau and Burghley last year and Michael Jung riding the formidable La Biosthetique - Sam FBW and Leopin FST.

Britain has all the members of the British team entered including Tina Cook who has both De Novo News and Miners Frolic entered as well as Zara Phillips riding High Kingdom and William Fox-Pitt who has five horses entered including Chilli Morning, Cool Mountain, Lionheart, Oslo and Parklane Hawk and if he wins the title will also win the Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing which hasn't been won since Pippa Funnell.

One of the hunt horses at the Beaufort Hunt Stables that was confirmed as having the Equine Herpes Virus is improving and all hunt horses have been moved away from the stables so that a thorough disinfecting of the yard can be done prior to the arrival of the elite horses entered in May.

Badminton will have its usual impressive selection of exhibitors which includes just about everything from horse riding apparel to furniture, artwork, jewellery, horse feed and tack, fashion wear and home ware goods. And there are also no end of food and drink vendors on the site, including the ever popular food hall.

Also taking place over the course of the competition are dressage displays over the lunchtime break during Friday and Saturday's dressage and the Shetland Grand National before the start of the cross country test on Sunday.

Date Of Badminton Horse Trial
 The Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials takes place from Thursday 2nd of May to Monday 6th of May 2013. Alongside the main event is the Mitsubishi Motors Grassroots Championships which takes place on Wednesday 1st May and Thursday 2nd of May.
