The annual Horse of the Year Show is in full swing with many results already posted and leading riders and horses impressing throughout the different competitions.

In show jumping there have been many thrilling rounds, in particular the Harry Jo & Co Five Fence Challenge which sees five fences increasing in size with each round with any penalties leading to elimination making it a real crowd pleaser especially with Tim Stockdale riding Fresh Direct K2 and John Whitaker riding Maximillian the last two riders to go clear after four intense rounds before deciding to split the first prize money with the jumps standing at a very impressive 1.80 meters.

John Whitaker also won the Zinc Management Trophy riding Argento which offered the unique chance for riders to pick their own jump off routes, his son Robert was also taking part in the class and finished in 4th riding Catwalk IV. Joseph Clayton finished 2nd in this class riding Michael Whitaker's Antello Z and Tim Stockdale finished in 3rd riding the impressive Irish Sports Horse Fresh Direct Kalico Bay.

Scott Brash is also having a great week wining the Sky Sports Trophy riding the stunning Bay gelding Bon Ami who is owned by Liz Mc Taggart.

Shane Breen (IRL) rode the stunning Oldenberg stallion Balloon to victory in the Accumulator class in a time of 49.89 ahead of Guy Williams riding Larino 0087 who's time was 51.22.

The Tagg Puissance also proved to be as popular and nerve raking as ever with just two riders going through to the final 5th round. Peter Murphy riding the bay stallion Renkum Off Centre who is owned by Catherine Witt and Michael Lonsdale riding the chestnut gelding Loughnatousa WB who is owned by P.M. Brown both had 4 faults in the final round and split first prize.
