Dujardin Sets Dressage Record
With the London Olympics looming British dressage rider Charlotte Dujardin has set an exciting new record for the British dressage freestyle by scoring 90.65% a record which had been previously set by Laura Bechtolsheimer.

Charlotte who is only 25 was riding Valegro a horse who is co owned by her mentor Carl Hester and Mrs. Roly Luard at the Hartpury International Festival Of Dressage where they led by a large margin.

Their dressage test which they will also be performing at the London Olympics was composed by Tom Hunt and contained pirouettes to the the very fitting and patriotic chimes of Big Ben as well as passage and piaffe to the music from "The Great Escape".

During the test, the pair received several very rare but well deserved 10's marking them out as strong contenders for the Olympic Games and also gained artistic marks over 93% from four out of the five judges.

In second place was Canadian rider Ashley Holzer riding Breaking Dawn with third place going to Michael Eilberg who was riding Half Moon Delphi and fourth place was Henriette Andersen riding Louis d'Or.
