Nonius Horse

Nonius
A handsome looking horse which has a good temperament and active paces making it an excellent riding and driving horse.

14 to 16 HH

Colour
Black, brown, bay and chestnut.

Conformation

Attractive broad head with a big kind generous eye, alert ears and well proportioned nostrils.
The neck is strong and curved along the crest.
The shoulders are muscular and relatively sloping.
The withers are rounded and broad.
The back is short and strong and the hindquarters are rounded and powerful.
The tail is fairly high set and both mane and tail are fairly thick.

History
A sire called Nonius Senior was bred to a variety of breeds such as Arab and Lipizzaner with the end result producing two distinctive types, one for agriculture and one for riding.
