John Whitaker Wins Longines Grand Prix
John Whitaker riding Argento who is by the well known stallion Arko III continued their excellent run of success by winning the Longines Grand Prix and claiming the top prize of $231,000 during the Hong Kong Masters.

There were an incredible 26 starters entered in the Grand Prix on Sunday, which is an international competition that is run over two rounds at a height of 1.60m. Out of the 26 only thirteen went clear in the first round and only seven riders going double clear in the second round.

John Whitaker's 13 year old bay stallion Argento put in an impressive performance to finish with a jump off time of 42.54 with Sweden's Henrik von Eckermann riding the Hanoverian mare Gotha FRH very close behind on 43.28 to take second place.

In third place was Frenchman Simon Delestre riding the chestnut 10 year old gelding Ryan des Hayettes on a time of 43.58 with Swiss rider Martin Fuchs riding the 11 year bay gelding PSG Future very close to finish on 43.70 putting them in 4th.

Great Britain's Scott Brash finished in 5th place with the talented 9 year old Belgium Warmblood mare Hello M'Lady who is by Indoctro and Baloubet du Rouet and owned by Lady P Kirkham.
