Isabell Werth Has Been Suspended Again
Germany's popular dressage rider Isabell Werth has been suspended from competition after her horse El Santo NRW tested positive to a banned substance.

The 12 year old bay El Santo NRW is owned by Madeleine Winter-Schulze and Isabell Werth tested positive for the drug cimetidine which is most often used to treat stomach ulcers.

The dressage rider who competed in the 1992, 1996, 2000 and 2008 Olympics has an impressive 8 medals to her name five of which are Gold and three silver with several Gold and a Bronze medal at World Championships and 9 Gold and 3 silver medals at the European Championships.

Isabell Werth was also suspended from competition for 6 months in 2009 after her horse Whisper tested positive to the banned substance known as Fluphenazine during routine testing at the CDI Wiesbaden in Germany.
