Claire Lomas To Fund-Raise Around Britain
Former event rider Claire Lomas who earlier this year raised over £200,000 for Spinal Research by completing the London Marathon in 17 days using a bionic ReWalk suit has set herself a new fund-raising challenge which will see her cycling around Great Britain using special bikes as well as the bionic ReWalk suit.
Claire had originally planned to cycle from London to Paris, however fund-raising restrictions would have meant that donations could not have collected from passers by along the route which would have restricted money raised for Spinal Research.
This epic fund-raising effort will now take place around Great Britain covering around 400 miles and over three weeks to achieve with Claire using one hand powered bike and one functional electrical stimulation (FES) bike.
Claire's fund-raising around Britain is planned to begin on the 29th April 2013 and donations can already be given on Claire's Just Giving web page.
