Claire Lomas To Walk London Marathon
Event rider Claire Lomas who was injured during an eventing competition at Osberton horse trials, Nottinghamshire in 2007 has set herself an incredible task of walking the London Marathon in order to raise much needed funds for Spinal Research.
Claire who is paralyzed from the waist down will be doing this amazing challenge with the aid of a robotic suit which is strapped to her body at the hips, knees and ankles and uses several sensors on her upper body to control movement, Claire also uses crutches to assist with balance.
Claire will be starting her epic 26 mile London Marathon walk on the 22nd of April with the help and support of her many friends and family with the hope of raising as much money as possible.
