South West Christmas Dressage Extravaganza
The dressage extravaganza held at Kingston Maurward College in the south west of Dorset was a great success with Jennie Loriston-Clarke MBE working with a variety of horse and riders from novice to Grand Prix showing the scales of dressage training.

The well thought out programme featured a session explaining the horses paces with a Thoroughbred and Lusitano followed by an explanation of movements where two young warmbloods ridden by Ben Andrews and Hannah Biggs showed the scope and range of their horses movements.

Paralympic Dressage Team GBR Grade III rider Deb Criddle who is European Champion & Olympic 2012 Gold Medallist as well as Individual and Freestyle silver medallist also gave a display to music riding her beautiful chestnut horse Akilles which gave a fascinating insight into the sport, Deb also brought along her treasured Olympic medals for everyone to enjoy which was a real treat.

Alisha Coombes and Destiny Killen did a fantastic job representing the Poole & District Pony Club with a well executed Pas de Deux display and BYRDS riders Angus Corrie Dean and Jessica Gale also showed the scope of young riders coming through in the sport.

The South West Vaulting Squad also showed off some of their moves with a colourful display to music from their vaulters.

Dressage rider Matt Hicks proved to be a good sport when riding his stunning bay Excalibur to some light hearted judging commentary from Jennie Loriston-Clarke which was followed by a impressive display to music demonstrating many Advanced Medium movements to music.

Aram Gregory also showed movements such as piaffe, passage and one time changes that he is working on with his talented horse Soul Sister, which was followed by Hayley Watson-Greaves performing a Grand Prix Kur on her stunning horse Rubins Nite.
