Racehorse Jumps Into Crowd
A horse has jumped into a crowd of spectators during the Grand Annual steeplechase race at Warrnambool, Victoria.

The horse called Banna Strand had lost his jockey Rowan Waymouth earlier in the race and had continued along a separate path alongside the track before reaching a 2 meter high barrier brush fence where a large crowd were gathered on the other side watching the race.

Seven people were injured and taken to hospital and the incident is being investigated.

Only two horses out of the 8 that started managed to finish the 33 jump race and neither Banna Strand or any of the other horses in the race were injured. Al Garhood won the race ahead of Awakening Dream.
