Cartier Racing Awards
Eight of racing's most accomplished race horses and one trainer have won awards at the 19th Cartier Racing Awards.
Not surprisingly Sea The Stars was among the winners taking two titles for Horse Of The Year and Best Three Year Old Colt, which after his record breaking 6 group one wins is very well deserved.
John Oxx who trained Sea The Stars won the Cartier/ Daily Telegraph Award of Merit not only for his accomplishment with Sea The Stars but also for his achievements with other great horses like Ridgewood Pearl, Sinndar and Azamour and also for all that he has done for the sport of european racing.
Goldikova won the Older Horse award for Freddie Head for the second year in succession and the Sprinter Award went to Fleeting Spirit.
The Two Year Old Colt award went to St Nicholas Abbey who recently also won the Racing Post Trophy and the Two Year Old Filly award went to Special Duty.
Lady Bamford's dual Oaks winner, Sariska won the The Three Year Old Filly Award and The Stayer Award went to Yeats for the fourth time.
