Ffos Las Racecourse Opening Meet
The opening meet at the new Ffos Las racecourse was a success with the first race going to
Welsh trainer Evan Williams and local owner Hywel Jones with their racehorse Plunkett.
The new racecourse which has a view down the Gwendraeth Valley to Carmarthen Bay was actually the former site of the largest open cast coalmine in Europe and will hold both National Hunt and Flat fixtures throughout the year.
