Verdict Reached In Amersham Animal Cruelty Case
A guilty verdict has now been reached in one of the most horrific animal cruelty cases.

At Bicester Magistrates Court District Judge Andrew Vickers found David Gray and his son James Gray Jnr guilty of causing cruelty to animals.

In 2008 at the Gray's farm there were over 115 horses, ponies and donkeys removed from the family's farm in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. Many of the animals were housed in appalling conditions and emaciated from lack of food, dehydrated from lack of drinking water and covered in sores and in very poor health from extreme neglect.

There were also about 30 carcasses discovered around the family farm, some of these carcasses were found in with live horses while others were simply covered with rubbish or put into a pile.

Sentencing is due to take place on June the 12th of this year where fines and jail sentences are expected.
