Noriker
A well proportioned good looking light draught horse who is muscular and powerful and excellent at coping with the Austrian Mountains that it comes from.

15 to 17 HH
Colour
Brown, chestnut, black, bay and grey. With no white markings anywhere on the horse.
Conformation
- The head is intelligent looking with a big kind eye and generous nature. The ears are alert and mobile and the jowl and nostrils are wide.
- The neck is short curved and very muscular.
- The back is short and strong.
- The hindquarters are well rounded and powerful.
- The limbs are strong with good hooves.
- Deep girth and wide chest.
- Thick curly mane and tail.
History
This breed takes its name from Noricum which was the name of a part of Austria many years ago. It has been used as a war horse as well as a work horse.
