Maremmano Horse
This wonderfully tough horse from Italy has a gentle nature and a strong physique making it an excellent all round riding horse.

Originates
The breed originates in Tuscany, Italy.

Height
Height is from 15 to 16 HH.

Colour
Bay, chestnut, grey, black and brown.

Conformation

The head has an honest expression with a big kind eye, good sized nostrils and alert mobile ears.
The neck is short but very strong.
The back is short and strong.
The hindquarters are well rounded and powerful.
Shoulders can vary but are usually fairly upright.
The limbs are long, strong and slender to look at and there are no feathers.
The tail is low set with the mane and tail being reasonably thin.

History
The Maremmano is bred in Tuscany where it is used on the cattle ranches. Over the years they have been used by the army and police due to there calm nature and trainable nature. This lovely horse has had influences of Arab, Barb, Thoroughbred and Spanish influences to give this horse a slender but tough body and an even temperament.

Maremmano horses make good all round riding horses.
