Boulonnais Horse
A neat looking and compact draft horse who combines great strength and power with a superb temperament.

History
Dating back from the Roman times these horses have been influenced with Oriental blood such as the Arab and German blood such as the Mecklenburg. They are from the Boulonnais region region of Northern France which is on the coast and so they were often used by the fish merchants. The Boulonnais region was heavily under attack in world war 1 and 2 and the breed was almost wiped out.
